There are lots of reasons to spec into Sensors, so we’ll go over each. And it should go without saying that if your mech has ECM and you’re investing in the Sensors Tree for some other reason, you might as well just pick up one or both of those nodes.
Seismic & Radar Dep
For players looking to re-capture the two most useful modules pre-Skill Tree, there are some reasonably-priced paths. These are useful on literally every mech, but may not be worth the investiture of nodes. It’s worth noting that you can also choose to dip into the Advanced Zoom node if you’re using the Sensors Tree for long-ranged combat.
Seismic
- Goal node: Seismic Sensor
- Low-Priority node: Sensor Range
Budget Path (6 nodes) | Middling Path (12 nodes) |
Radar Deprivation
- Goal node: Radar Deprivation
- Low-Priority node: Sensor Range
Budget Path (9 nodes) | Middling Path (16 nodes) |
Both
- High-Priority node: Radar Deprivation, Seismic Sensor
- Low-Priority node: Sensor Range
Budget Path (10 nodes) | Middling Path (17 nodes) | All-In Path (19 nodes) |
ECM
The ECM bonuses in the Sensors Tree are pretty interesting, and are particularly effective against Streak Boats.
- Goal node: Enhanced ECM
- High-Priority node: Seismic Sensor
- Low-Priority node: Sensor Range, Target Info Gathering
Budget Path (7 nodes) | Middling Path (13 nodes) | All-In Path (17 nodes) |
Spotting
This is spotting for LRMs, of course. The greatest thing ever in the game, of course.
- Goal node: Target Decay
- High-Priority node: Sensor Range, Target Retention, Radar Deprivation, Seismic Sensor
- Low-Priority node: Target Info Gathering
Budget Path (10 nodes) | Middling Path (15 nodes) | All-In Path (23 nodes) |
